Leads the National Institute for Veterans' strategy, operations, and veteran advocacy initiatives, with a focus on expanding access to VA benefits and services through disciplined case development, trusted partnerships, and effective technology.
As a VA Accredited Agent, Mark works directly within the VA benefits and appeals process while helping guide NIFV's broader mission of improving outcomes for veterans and their families.
Provides financial leadership and strategic oversight for the organization, supporting fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, sustainable growth, budgeting, compliance, risk management, and long-term financial planning.
Leads NIFV's engagement with the Department of Veterans Affairs and related agencies. She helps ensure that organizational processes and advocacy efforts remain aligned with VA requirements while strengthening communication, compliance, and institutional relationships.
Oversees day-to-day organizational operations and coordinates execution across teams. Her work focuses on operational consistency, service quality, process improvement, and ensuring veterans move efficiently through NIFV's intake and support processes.
Guides NIFV's information technology strategy and platform reliability, helping ensure organizational systems remain secure, scalable, dependable, and aligned with the needs of staff and veterans.
Leads external communications and public engagement, helping ensure NIFV's mission, values, and initiatives are communicated clearly and credibly. His work includes strategic messaging, media relations, and public-facing initiatives designed to strengthen awareness and trust.
Develops outreach initiatives connecting veterans with services, resources, and advocacy support. He works with veteran organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders to expand awareness and improve access to available programs.
Information Technology
Application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, data, and technology project delivery.
Builds and maintains NIFV's core applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, maintainability, and clear workflows that allow staff to serve veterans efficiently.
Oversees security governance and technology risk management, helping protect sensitive organizational and veteran information through strong security controls, standards, and operational best practices.
Develops polished and accessible user interfaces, helping ensure NIFV's applications remain consistent, readable, intuitive, and effective across devices while supporting complex veteran-service workflows.
Designs system architecture and integration patterns that keep NIFV's technology platforms maintainable, resilient, and scalable as services and operational requirements continue to expand.
Supports database performance, reliability, and data integrity across NIFV systems. This work provides the foundation for dependable applications, reporting, automation, and internal operational tools.
Coordinates priorities, schedules, technical resources, and stakeholders to help ensure technology projects are delivered predictably, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
